Community-rooted urban agriculture on Chicago’s West Side — growing culturally relevant produce and expanding food access.

Fresh, Hyperlocal Produce Grown in Chicago
The Value of Hyper-local!
Sowed Up Farms is a black women-owned & family-operated urban farm growing culturally relevant produce, herbs, edible flowers, and value-added goods in Chicago. We honor Black agrarian traditions and the cultural significance and history of all our crops, with a deep understanding of heirloom varieties. We achieve this through small-scale, efficient growing methods, community partnerships, and hyperlocal distribution, all aimed at fostering a rich agricultural heritage and growing healthier communities.
